Financial Advisor and Owner - John P. Poels, ChFC®, AAMS®

John began his career in the financial services industry in 1989 after graduating from St. Norbert College with a degree in Business/Finance. As a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), John has been helping clients obtain their financial goals ever since. In addition, John has earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation granted by The College for Financial Planning. Graduates of the College for Financial Planning are consistently cited as some of the best advisors in the country.

With an extensive background in both investment and insurance products, John has been a manager with some of the leading financial services firms in the country before founding J. Poels Financial in 1998. John is a member of several industry associations and has made providing objective, high quality advice and service his top priority. As a General Securities Principal and Investment Advisor Representative with Cambridge Investment Research Advisors, Inc., John has effectively implemented a team approach to financial consulting. John's philosophy is to keep the number of associates limited to a few highly qualified advisors who are truly committed to excellence in their field. 

John has received many industry recognition awards over the years. This year, John has qualified again for Cambridge Signature Club 2016, an honor awarded by his independent broker-dealer, Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., recognizing him as a top financial advisor.  


Financial Advisor - Scott J. Richardson, ChFC®, AAMS®

Scott joined J. Poels Financial in 2005 after developing his career with several national financial services companies. He is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS), and a member of the firm's investment committee. Scott's passion to provide unbiased, client-driven solutions led him to the independent advisor model he embraces today.

Scott specializes in wealth management and retirement planning strategies for individuals, families and small businesses. his career began in 1997 with a college internship while attending UW-Whitewater, where he earned a BBA in Finance. He has also earned the Eagle Scout Award - the highest rank in Scouting. His reputation amongst peers has always been one of high integrity and he prides himself on upholding this standard with the clients he serves.


Financial Advisor - Robert C. Kniprath, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®, CASL®

Bob has been a financial services industry professional for nearly 14 years. For over ten years he was a financial advisor at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. In March of 2010 he decided it served his clients best if he opened the doors of his own practice, with the J. Poels Financial branch.

He has a great deal of experience in the areas of wealth management, retirement income distribution planning, insurance planning strategies, and estate planning concepts. His specific client focus is working with individuals and couples who are near to or are retired. He does not dilute his time and efforts by attempting to be a "jack of all trades". Working with near-retirees and retirees is his sole focus and he works to be the best there is in this area. 

Bob has worked hard to continue his education since receiving his degree in finance, investment and banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has since gained four additional professional designations through a series of coursework, exams, and experience qualifications. He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter, the Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Advisor to Senior Living, and the Chartered Financial Consultant designations.


Financial Advisor - Sharon Blechinger

Sharon has been working with clients in the financial and investment world for 20 years. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1990 with a degree in Business Administration and Finance. After four years as a Policy and Budget Analyst in the Division of Budget and Finance for the State of Wisconsin, she began her full-time career as a financial representative.

Sharon's goal is to develop a long-term relationship with her clients, which allows her to provide education and guidance through all of life's changing goals and circumstances. As an independent representative, she brings undivided loyalty to her clients with the highest level of integrity to all aspects of her business.

Sharon lives in the Sauk City area with her family and enjoys time at the family farm, along with gardening and fishing.


Financial Advisor - Jordan Truttschel

Jordan advises his clients on retirement planning through a fundamental approach. Client education is an important pillar that he has built his business around. He is trusted and highly respected due to his hardworking nature and helpful attitude. 

Jordan joined the financial services industry in 2009 and holds Series 7 and 66 Licenses. As an investment advisor representative, Jordan is also life insurance licensed. He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration, majoring in Finance with a Financial Planning emphasis, from UW- Whitewater.

In his spare time, Jordan is a fishing and running fanatic. He has competed in both activities on the collegiate level, and continues to take time to enjoy the outdoors for both interests.
